Smooth Communication
I communicate, you communicate, he/she communicates, we all communicate during professional meetings, regional or world activities or through our newly refurbished website. Emails, text messages or phone calls complete the multimodal communication our Association develops similarly to what PES develop towards their clients.
Making sure WAPES becomes more visible, supporting the modernisation process of PES in the world and promoting a wider range of innovation services launched by our member PES on the labour market are all part of the Association’s communication strategy since 2006
Everything started with the first Corporate Identity guidelines of WAPES, where all indications are explained about the use of WAPES logo and the corporate image it aims to reach. Thanks to the support of experts from several PES members, you can find out everything about the graphical chart of WAPES which already inspired tremendously the ergonomics of our new website.
Indeed, presented for the first time at the General Assembly of WAPES last May, the new web site became finally alive. It is beautiful, attractive and most of all much more user friendly. But the web site is nevertheless still in construction! The Executive Secretariat team, trained progressively in the use of the active management tool, gradually takes possession of its maintenance. Reformatting all existing contents and writing new attractive articles are becoming already part of the daily life of the small ES team.
WAPES Web site will highlight also the Association’s publications, whether only promotional or the result of closer consultation between PES in the world. Several are being «lifted up” on the basis of the graphical definitions (Institutional leaflet); others can already be downloaded on our website (Toolkits); New ones are to be available soon (Management Reports).
Similarly to the paper publications, WAPES eNewsletter production is going through some changes right now. The production will use the new website technical facilities and its contents will gradually showcase transversal (PES) experiences from all over the world. The visitor will get sharp insights of the operational challenges encountered by PES in the five regions of our international network.
There is still work to be done and active contribution from all remains indispensable to keep all our communication tools dynamic & pertinent. So if you are about to organise a WAPES activity, get inspired from past activities on the web and the graphical chart for the look & feel of all your promotional documents.
You plan to disseminate some interesting practice, to make some technical assistance visible to your PES fellows, to host a labour market event, let WAPES and the world know about it!
Of course, I am counting on your critical but constructive observations to contribute to WAPES communication strategy. All suggestions are welcome.
