The WAPES World Congress

Apart from regional and interregional activities in each of its five regions, WAPES also develops projects and events on a global level, thus reflecting its worldwide network. The biggest event of this kind is the tri-annual WAPES World Congress (WWC). It primarily gathers our members, but also other Public Employment Services (PES) in the world as well as organizations and persons closely involved in PES-related matters.

For each WWC, a particular theme is selected which corresponds to the current situations, biggest concerns and challenges PES are sharing throughout the world. The discussion panels of the WWC tackle all aspects of the selected theme, but also allow participants to exchange ideas through a variety of informal activities. This global event represents a unique occasion for PES and partners to share experiences and to network on a worldwide level.

The WWC is regularly organised in parallel with the Association's highest body, the General Assembly.
